NRA Basic Pistol

Next Class

This course is for beginning and intermediate students to learn the basics of pistol safety handling and responsible firearms ownership from qualified local instructors.

  • Students will be required to certify their legal eligibility and sign a Firearm Release Form
  • Students are responsible for acquiring their own ammunition and will be instructed on how to complete this assignment
  • Must attend all four sessions to complete the course. Emergency situations will be considered

Successful participants will receive a certificate of completion, which is required to apply for an Oregon Concealed Handgun License.

This is a 4 night class, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Basic Rifle

Next Class

This course introduces the Student to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a rifle safely.

Students will learn about rifle parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, and rifle shooting fundamentals

This prepares the student with basic skills in handling a rfle for hunting, shooting for fun, or basics for shooting sports.

This is an 8 hour class. It will be Tuesday and Thursday nights, plus range time.

Home Firearm Safety

This class informs students how to safely handle and unload (make safe), various firearms that they may come into contact with in their home or other places

This class does not have a shooting portion.

This class will also address various ways to store firearms and ammunition safely

This is a 4 hour class 5pm-9pm usually on a Tuesday.

Class is FREE to the public.

If you want a class handbook there is an extra charge.
